The matte shadows are okay; they aren’t bad to work with and they wear well enough, but the formula doesn’t stand out for me for being especially easy to work with, or for overly amazing wear-time. I’d say that for the reasonable price point of the brand, the mattes are good enough – just don’t expect to be wowed. I’ve had no problems with up to 12 hours of wear. The formulas for the shimmers make up for the standard-performing mattes – most of them have a creamy jelly/powder feel and they look molten on the skin, plus the wear is faultless.
As this is a large palette, it’s not surprising that some of the shades are overly similar to each other.

All in all, I think that this is a nice palette; it’s not my favourite and I’m not giving up my Huda & ABH for the brand, but the palette is versatile, affordable and fun – I’ve not disliked any looks I’ve done with it so far, and have even been complimented on looks I’ve done with it. I prefer the quality of this over my other By Beauty Bay eyeshadow palette [the NikkieTutorials one] – the shadows aren’t as hard pressed in this palette, the shimmers don’t bleed microglitter, and there is only one somewhat probmatic shade here.
The price for By Beauty Bay is right, the creative direction is great and while their formulas aren’t outstandingly great, they definitely aren’t ‘bad’ – By Beauty Bay is the equivalent to Colourpop, minus the international shipping and customs, for UK & European customers.

I bought this as a present because I was particularly delighted with the same thing which was given as a present to me a couple of years ago. The shades have altered slightly and there are one or two mixed colour palettes which are very modern and suitable for today’s eye make-up style. I think any girl/woman who likes to experiment with eye colour will be thrilled to have this exciting collection.

I absolutely love these colours it has all the purples in it that I love to wear from matt to shimmer. Just a pity it’s got a load of blues too I’ve not worn them since the 1980″s ????
