I ordered it for my other half and she has used it a few times before giving her wordict. She has multiple Hair Styling accessories including top of the range Straighteners and Curling wands etc. She has natural wavy hair which I like but she always wants to look different for the special occasions hence she uses these hair styling accessories which we have bought.
This K&K branded Straightener is described as Pro-Level 2 in 1 Straightener and curler. My wife let me watch while she Straightened her one side of hair with K&K and the other with GHD. I watched her Straightening her hair and she made at least 4 pass with K&K going very slowly on maximum temperature offered 230°C. Then she did the other side with GHD on 185°C and it still required same amount of passes to accomplish the sleek silky finish that she wants. Point to be noted here is that Pro-Level Straightener can achieve the same result with lesser heat applied thus lesser damage to hair. I know we are comparing it to a Straightener that is nearly £200 in price with K&K on sale today at £32.99 so it’s not a fair comparison but I can only do a review of a product with what I have and people who read my reviews needs my honest and unbiased opinion.
Yes it is a very versatile piece of hair styling accessories and can so both Straightening and Curling in one. Price today is great value for money as a first straightener or a gift for someone. It works perfectly without any burning smell or heat damage while using it. Nano-titanium plates distributes heat effectively. It glides smoothly, leaving hair frizz-free shiny and silky. It has safety auto cut off after 60 minutes if left switched on unattended. It has 11 temperature settings but to be honest my wife always go for the highest settings. There are no buttons on it as it is pull and twist type straightener.
Overall a great value Hair Straightener for incredibly low price at the moment.

K&K are certainly becoming a more well known brand these days and I have to say I can understand why K&K products are catching on now, because the product are manufactured with genuine quality.
These straighteners I find are much more practical, previous straighteners I have used have had thick ceramic plates but didn’t have enough plastic coverage, to protect my head and scalp from burns and blisters.
The straighteners warm up quickly and glide across my hair leaving my hair nice straightened without breakages or split ends.
The device also has an auto turn off feature just in case the product is left on the a length of time.
Recommended.

I think these are excellent straighteners this brand has these spot on
There easy to use to turn on and off you simply turn the handle and select your temperature
There nice and thin I find they got to the root of my hair easily there not bulky or heavy the cable is a really good length to by choosing the temperature you can look after your hair and not frazzle it

The dear lady has been using them for a few weeks now and really likes them.
Here likes are:
Heat up fast and clear temp setting.
Long cable for in front of a mirror.
Very effective.
Dual voltage for travel.
Areas that need improving.
Plates could do with being longer
Lock is a little stiff to use.
Things she didn’t like.
No travel case or heat sleeve.
Her 10 year old straighteners have been retired in favour of these.

I initially scored these as three star, but when i saw the price was only around £40, i made it four star. There are some issues with the temperature display. It gets up to temp very quickly and seeing the temp climb on the little display is great. However, when set at 230, the actual surface temp of the plates is nearer 200… not a huge deal. However, if you then adjust the temp down to 130, the display doesn’t tick down as it cools to 130, it just instantly shows a temp of 130, when in fact the plates were still around 190… so some caution may be needed here. Other than that, they are probably worth the price.

Ok I’ve got more hair on my toes than my head but the ladies of the house have been giving these a good thrashing. Originally acquired to stop the squabbles between the wife and daughter on who claimed ownership of the GHDs I’ve noticed they both seem to using these more.
Design wise they’re great – they look every inch the business with sleek chic appeal and sophisticated but recyclable packaging. In use the ring on the hinge acts as a clamp for storage, when opened you twist the clamp ring to select the temperature which is displayed on the led. They heat up VERY fast, so less time shouting for everyone to get a move on (I’m winning on so many levels). I heard no grumbling about the smoothness – I guess that’s the whizzy nano titanium, or awkwardness to hold. Value for money and totally recommended – certainly gives the big brands something to think about

– I tested this at 180C and the results were good but not as smooth as my GHD Max. In order to achieve similar results I had to make 1 more pass with less hair.
– the outside plastic gets very hot(around the plates). Even the trim on the top is hot. I guess thats why the glove is included in the package
Overall, this is a good product if you want to curl or straighten your hair. If you want to straighten your hair in less time or you have a lot of hair then I would suggest to consider a product with wider plates.
