I’ve actually enjoyed using it, gentle on the eyes and removes all my make up. I’ve used it as a night moisturizer as well. The reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because of the texture. I don’t know…seems a bit heavy, and when using it as a balm cleanser I always felt that I won’t be able to remove the balm ( I was able to).

The balm leaves your skin very soft I have to say that. But i would not sell it as a cleansing balm. More a general balm for moisturizing. It does not really break up the makeup as I would have liked it. It does not slide off you as I have had experienced with other balms…..disappointing but I kept it as a great moisturizer!

This smells lovely, and leaves skin feeling really soft and nice. It has improved a teenagers spotty skin too. Only a small amount is required, it goes a long way, and it needs a really hot cloth to take it off (which is nice in itself along with the massage effect of putting it on).

I am in love with it. I have suffered from acne since I was 13. I have tried pretty much everything I could lay my hands on that mentioned it could help acne prone skin. Most of the acne products do some good but are quite drying for the skin.My mum promised the acne would wither away once I am past my teen age. I am 33 now. I have skin on the oilier side. It has its good days and bad days. To be honest, I was very sceptical before using it as it looked quite greasy. But, it has worked really well for me. I have been using a proactiv plus face wash with salicylic acid in the morning followed by their pore treatment and hydrator for about seven years now. Initially it was Proactiv and then I moved on to Proactiv plus. I used to use the proactiv plus 1,2,3 method morning and night, it did not seem to be helping my skin much alone.So I was on a look out for something more natural and organic that can help. I read this wonderful review about this organic beauty balm from someone with a similar skin type and decided to give it a go. I am very pleased I decided to take a chance at it. I use this at night before going off to sleep. I remove my make up at the end of the
day as usual. Put on some balm onto my fingertips. Rub it well on the face. I then soak up muslin cloth in hot tap water, rinse and put on my face for few seconds and thats it. It is very gentle to the skin, cleanses very well and you do not need to use any moisturiser after that. My skin is quite spot prone, this has definitely helped, I can see the difference. It is very pleasant smelling with all organic ingredients!!

This beauty balm has been my savour !!!
I started having what I assumed was acne around my mouth, so treated the area with a steroid cream… A BIG MISTAKE !!! At first the area cleared, but within a couple of days the area became angrier and started to spread around my nose. After many weeks of extensive online investigation I diagnosed myself with perioral dermatitis. I was originally using Liz Earle cleansing wash which for years kept my skin clear and moisturised and had never experienced any reactions; I even encouraged my children and even to this day to use Liz Earle natural cleansers as I believe this to be an exceptional product. Unfortunately perioral dermatitis was not a fan of my current natural facial care ! I researched for many many hours for a cure for this unrelenting skin problem (perioral dermatitis) and found many contradicting remedies. Perioral dermatitis does NOT have a quick fix… Over a 2 month period I stopped using fluoride toothpaste, any body or hair products with SLS and drank water with 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar every morning (Yuck, again ohhh yuck) I even stopped wearing makeup, which is a big deal for me but this becomes empowering after a short period of time (To be honest it’s made me lazy to the point where I can not be bothered to put on makeup on my working days 🙂 At the same time as eliminating mentioned products I started to use Lyons Leaf beauty Balm and Zinc / Candula cream. I had found these products by chance on line after searching for perioral dermatitis. At this point I was willing to try anything as I was at the end of my Tether; my skin had never been so bad as the rash was angry and started to travel up my face. Initially I found the cleansing balm to be cleansing and moisturising and then it made my skin break out BUT I persevered and after reducing the amount of cream used I found my skin start to settle. The zinc cream with Calendula started to dry out my problem areas too much originally but again my skin seemed to settle after a few weeks. Using less of the zinc cream works best, do not leave on skin when it’s still white and shiney blot out so it’s matt. it’s taken just over 2 very long months but I can state hand on heart my perioral dermatitis is no longer … I am now a long life follower of Lyon Leaf products to the point I’m now using their body balm (smells delicious) I cannot promote these products enough and honestly I don’t write reviews very often
