This foundation has a great coverage, is very natural looking and is very pigmented. It isn’t overly drying to the face, but it doesn’t improve the look of any existing dry patches you may already have so be careful. My skin is combination, I suffer with greasy cheeks, forehead and chin, all typical areas. I’ve been wearing it for 5 hours and it doesnt feel greasy at all which is great! I usually set my foundation with rimmel insta fix and matte but I didn’t feel like I needed much with this foundation so just sweeped it over and it’s held great.
I applied it with a beauty blender and was surprised at how well it blended straight away. It wasn’t greasy and I didn’t feel like it clumped together at all. I am very pale but even this foundation was pale for me so I might order it in the next colour up. Overall I think I will be using this foundation for a long time!

To be honest I’ve seen a lot of hype about this so I thought I’d try it out. It goes onto the skin super smooth and looks great but my skin starts to dry out alot after using. I don’t know if it’s just my skin or what but that usually doesn’t happen to me and I’ve even try to moisturise more but that doesn’t help

When I first tried this foundation by NYX I thought I’d found my holy grail. An affordable foundation that it full coverage and actually fits my skin tone (I’m very pale with a lot of redness occasionally and this foundation covers it and matches me so well!)
But it comes with quite a few downsides unfortunately that make me hesitate to give 5 stars.
Number one is the consistency of the foundation. It’s quite thick, and dries very quickly. It means that the coverage is amazing, almost as good as a concealer, but blending it is kind of a race against time. If you leave it for a few moments too long you’ll find it has dried almost entirely on your face. It’s not a huge problem, but it can be a bit frustrating as you can find yourself using more of the product than needed because it dries so quickly. covering your whole face if you have skin issues like I do can be a bit of a chore.
The thickness of the foundation also led to another issue I hadn’t imagined. It has ruined my makeup sponges one by one! It really does cake onto my real techniques sponge and is pretty difficult so clean off, to the point that cleaning the sponge it has actually ripped when trying to get all the excess foundation from it. If you use your fingers or a makeup brush to apply your foundation then this probably won’t be an issue!
The only other little gripe is the bottle. If you were wanting to take the black plastic lid from the bottle (to get out of the last of the product that the pump can’t reach) then be prepared for foundation to go EVERYWHERE. It’s sealed so tight when really it could have just been a screw cap maybe? It’s not a huge issue though, just maybe open it up somewhere easy to wipe down when the foundation inevitably goes everywhere haha.
In all I still use this foundation daily. It really is great for somebody who wants a cheap but really nice quality foundation, and it lasts almost all day for me. It’s just a shame it likes to eat my makeup sponges and dry to my skin like cement!

Bought this shade by looking at different online swatches, and I’m so so happy it was a perfect match for my light-medium olive skin tone without being too pink or yellowish! For reference I’m ard NC20-25 : )
Regarding the coverage I wouldn’t say this is a full coverage foundation, but it has a decent medium+ coverage on my super oily skin, leaving a beautiful and natural finish without being cakey like wearing a mask. It’s cruelty free too! It’s not completely transfer proof, but most of the foundation is still intact at the end of the day. I lightly applied setting powder on top of the foundation, and only slightly blotted my face late afternoon.
This may not work for very dry skin ladies, but it’s a decent drugstore foundation for oily ladies. I would say it feels like wearing a lighter coverage version of Estes Lauder double wear stay in place.

It’s OK, has a powdery texture and starts drying almost immediately, not in a good way Also when I then apply powder it has to be done delicately so not to mess up thr foundation which shouldn’t be happening. Was excited to dry Nyx foundation but may give it a wide birth for a while.

For a ‘cheaper drugstore foundation’ this product does well. I began using this product about a year and a half ago and haven’t looked back. It isn’t too matte or too shiny, however I tend to powder my face as well after use anyway to get rid of any potential shine. It’s breathable and lightweight. The only issue I have with this foundation is down to its design. I feel as though a lot of product can be lost in a glass bottle and I continue having issues with the nozzle/pump. The foundation keeps building up and hardening on the nozzle/pump so when I go to get some of the product out, I either cant because the nozzle/pump is ‘jammed’ with the product or it scooshes out and goes all over the place. I have tried cleaning it after use however it only seems to push the product in further. I have found I am needing to use a tongue bar to push into the nozzle/pump to pierce a hole through the hardened product.

This foundation is quite hard to spread over your skin and the shade is a lot darker than I thought it was going to be. Ordered Vanilla and it is too dark. Will be ok to use if I have been on holiday and have a bit of tan but definitely darker than the images suggest
