Pre-shampoo scalp scrubs seem to be the latest thing in haircare. This is certainly one of the more expensive ones, and it is a dual duty product as it usual the usual manual exfoliation with beads (peach seeds according to the packaging) along with glycolic acid for chemical exfoliation.
It smells very nice, and has a thick consistency so it’s easy to apply it without it dripping everywhere, which is good as you need to leave it on for a minute or two to let the glycolic acid do its work.
The trouble is the exfoliating beads are unusually big, and I found they got stuck in my hair. Along with the thickness of it, it meant it needed a lot of rinsing before I could shampoo it.
It did work well – my scalp felt clean and clear and my hair was left nicely conditioned, soft and shiny – but it really is expensive and a bit of a pain to rinse out.
I guess it would last a fair amount of time as you get a fair amount and it goes a long way, so if you need this sort of product, it’s probably worth the investment.

•Expensive, would cost alot to keep up with usage.
•Has a tiny lid which isn’t attached to the tube so easy to lose in the shower!
•Can be hard to wash out the grains in the product.

This feels just like body exfoliator only for hair. I often get an itchy head and have found that this does seem to help. It feels gritty when it comes out of the tube and is used before shampooing. It has a light scent which really is not important as it is rinsed off before shampooing.

Use 1-2 times a week on wet or dry scalp before washing hair.
Is a bit messy with the scrub bits so advise using in shower.
Pleasant smell, vegan.
Not for use on children under 3.
Definitely noticing a difference on my greasy, itchy hair, did leave it abit tingly but i think thats because its a scrub, leave on for 1-2 minutes before rinsing.

First impressions are OK. Doesn’t exactly look a premium product but nice enough.
One small downside is the cap isn’t attached to the tube. This is annoying especially when in the shower where space to put things down is limited. Also, with the cap off the tube isn’t easy to lay to rest – mine has rolled off the glass shelf into the bath at least twice!
As a shampoo it’s quite nice, with a mild but not unpleasant scent. It doesn’t lather much, no matter how much you use!
The shampoo contains small granules that you massage into your scalp. They wash out easily under a shower and give a physical sensation, suggesting deep cleansing.
Hair comes out clean and easy to comb. I sometimes get an itchy scalp and – so far – this shampoo is doing a better job easing it than a well known, anti dandruff/itchy scalp product.
Well with a look, tho it’s a little pricey!

I must recognise it worked for me. I had a very itchy scalp and a bit dry skin. Typical shampoos for removing dandruff didn’t make any difference but this one I could feel it straight away. It smells so so good and it is very pleasant to me to give a massage using this exfoliant. The problem comes when you have to wash off those tiny bits included in the product, it takes ages under the shower and even like this you can still find them next day. It is very similar to have sand in the scalp. I also think it is very pricey for the amount it brings. Maybe to use it in case of necessity.

This scalp scrub smells amazing and a little goes a long way.. I was worried I’d be left with the little balls in my hair but washes out no problem 😊

This smells nice, easy to apply. Just need to make sure you wash out completely as I kept finding bits on my scalp the next day.
