Every winter my girlfriend’s hands get cracked and sore from working outdoors with horses. Her hands get so calloused that they look dirty even when clean. She isn’t very good at taking care of her hands but she loves the smell of these creams so much that she applies one every night before bed. Her hands now look the best they have ever looked over winter.

I’ve been using organic hand creams for many years now as they don’t contain mineral oil or other ‘nasties’ that stop the cream penetrating the skin. This one by Kate Humble is one of the best I’ve used, my hands are so soft. The only slight negative is that I’m not so keen on the scent but it’s very subtle so can be overlooked. It’s so reasonably priced that, for me, it’s a no brainer! I’ll definitely be buying this again.

I ordered this hand cream because I love both rose and frankincense and have used many products with these scents, e.g., from Neal’s Yard. Sadly this one is a real disappointment. It has a very strong buttery smell and not nice at all. And it’s very hard for the smell to come off, even after I washed my hands. I expected a much more subtle and pleasant scent and better quality.

This is such a great hand cream – no greasy after feel but so moisturising. And the fragrance really lasts – everyone comments how lovely it smells each time I have the handcream on.

I do like the fact that this product has been produced ethically with an eye on the environment and also avoiding contentious ingredients. You can certainly smell the honey that’s been used as part of the lotion and that is nice although I do find the rose and frankincense to be a little bit strong. I love the fact that it isn’t sticky or oily once it is applied and also find that it moisturises quite well. It soaks it quickly too which is a bonus for me and having tried this product I would definitely like to try more from the Humble range.
