I used to use an anti-perspirant that scored 0/10 on the Think Dirty app (0 = best for health and saving the world and 10 = worst), but could no longer afford it. This particular Mitchum product scores 4, while all the others score 8. Not sure why… Any way, it really works! It works so well it’s saving me money! I can now wear tops for more than a day and pyjamas and bedding no longer smell. So I do less laundry and that’s amazing! It spreads well and, on the whole, doesn’t leave residue on clothes, though my last item seemed a bit softer than normal and did leave white marks. However, my new one is back to normal. My one concern is the sheer amount of plastic that goes into one unit and the amount of anti-perspirant “butter” left behind in the plastic base once the pusher is fully extended. I put the remains in a pot and use it between my toes after showering and I also take all the pieces apart to wash and recycle them. So I’m doing my part…

For years, I have used Clinique for Men deodorant stick – the skin in my armpits is sensitive after an attack of hydradenitis many years ago, and I am very careful what I apply to them. Clinique is expensive, but unlike every other stick deodorant I tried, never irritated my skin and never left stains on the armpits of my shirts.
Clinique have for some reason stopped making their stick deodorant, and after a lot of research, this Mitchum deodorant has very similar ingredients. It works just as well; it doesn’t irritate my skin, and it doesn’t leave stains. Also, it is a quarter the price of Clinique!
Very happy with it, but one caveat – the women’s formulation is very different from the men’s – I tried the men’s, and it was very gluey and sticky – I felt like I had rubbed my armpits with a Pritt Stick. The women’s is completely different, and unnoticeable when applied – it also has a far less intrusive scent. (It claims to be unscented, but the ingredients do list a perfume – probably just a mild masking scent, as it isn’t particularly noticeable when worn.)
But as far as I am concerned – as good as Clinique for less than a quarter of the price; what’s not to like?

I love Mitchum stick but always hated the smell. This solves that problem. It works exactly the same as the traditional but without that perfume smell that sticks to all of your clothes. yay!!
