I love the fact that this product is vegan, cruelty free and comes in a large sized glass bottle that can be re used. The consistency is a little thicker than others I’ve tried which I like, it goes on well and does have a plumping effect on my skin, making it look and feel fresh. It isn’t fragranced, which, for those with sensitive skin is a plus, so it doesn’t smell amazing, but I personally don’t find it off putting.
Having said that, I originally first purchased it under the impression that hyaluronic acid is the best thing for keeping skin healthy and well fed. I’ve since learned from a top dermatologist that the truth is while it does indeed have a plumping effect on skin, so is great for use for special occasions when you want your skin to look its best, long-term use actually has a drying effect.
That combination of that expert knowledge, the recent price increase and my need to save money means that I won’t be purchasing again as things stand, but if you can afford it, and only want it for occasional use, yes, I would recommend.

Would be lovely to keep supporting a locally made product that is fantastic but it’s now so expensive and no longer affordable. Such a shame. Will be switching to The Ordinary which is less than half the price and has a cult following.

This serum has left my skin glowing in combination with derma pen I use at home. Fine lines and sun damage has dramatically reduced.

When I first started my skin definitely felt smoother. The consistency of the product is so smooth and lovely to the touch. I got a bit carried away and kind of overdid it. I later found out about something called retinol irritation that could have been avoided if I applied a little at a time!
I advice to start of small and stick it out with this product because the results are so worth it.

On the 18th April I purchased the Hyaluronic Acid Serum along with the Retinol Cream for Day & Night as Poppy Austin advises to use both together for maximum effectiveness and this fits advice I had researched and read in magazines. I thought I would try this duo before embarking on a course of CACI Non-Surgical facials which I know are effective but a course is very expensive and I don’t want to go down the filler route. I have always looked after my skin (though I love the sun) and had few lines until an illness last year and on my 62nd birthday it seemed I had suddenly aged and was feeling despondent. I religiously used some expensive products I had for Christmas but my skin still felt dehydrated and coarse, with open pores and lines getting worse despite a good routine as follows: cleanse, exfoliate, tone, eye gel and crème, serum, spf day cream or night cream, tinted SPF moisturiser. I have sensitive, combination skin and have to be careful that products do not trigger my psoriasis which can be hard to get rid of. I have been using both products incorporated into my usual routine since receipt both morning after my shower and at night before bed after cleansing and toning. So that is 5 weeks now on my face, neck and décolletage and I am just about to order my second serum so I estimate it lasts 6 weeks (just under 4p a day). The retinol cream being bigger will last a lot longer but I will order that again too. Obviously to reorder I am pleased with the products and the results. My skin is definitely tauter and hydrated and the fine lines which had started on my jawline have actually disappeared. My cheekbones catch the light and look glossy and smooth. People are saying I look well and have I been on holiday. No noticeable improvement round the eyes or frown lines but aging is a given and I am not expecting miracles though I plan to try the eye cream and the Vitamin C Cleanser as Vitamin C is missing from my routine and is hailed as essential for the synthesis and maintenance of collagen. Not quite 5 stars but they have yet to make that product.
