I have super heavy periods. Bordering on 10+lrs per period. I am due surgery to help this and these are amazing for at night to avoid any major issues. Also helps for when you sneeze and accidentally wet yourself a little. To hold in place I use a paid of super high waisted underwear that’s a snug fit and regardless what position I’m in these will jot move or leak

I have now bought these several times for my mum who has sadly become suddenly bedbound after a stroke. I didn’t have a clue what to get as I am very new to being a carer. But these pads had been used whilst mum was in hospital so I got these. I noticed some reviewers complaining about the size of pad. People like my mum need this size and shape of pad, as my mum is left over 12 hours at night times, unable to use the commode herself. My mum is very tiny and, yes, the Extra ones are big, but that’s needed to keep her dry and clean, with some dignity. Also, it is listed in details as an ‘adult diaper’- which is exactly what it is. If you just have an occasional small urine leak, I don’t think the Extra ones are for you. If my mum wasn’t bedbound, and just needed it for ‘accidents’, I would buy one of the smaller pads, which are obviously a lot less bulky to wear.

We use the Extra ones along with stretchy knickers (which I also bought off Amazon…brilliant and can be washed numerous times) and they work perfectly together, no sticky strip is needed, the pants hold them perfectly in place. For someone like my mum who is bedbound, these Extra pads are brilliant. They keep her as comfortable and clean as possible. And the price is brilliant too, half the price of similar pads/nappies in chemists and supermarkets. Very pleased with these. I would just suggest that people make sure they know what they are getting, before ordering! YES the Extra ones look like adult nappies (basically, cos they are) and YES they are big (as they have a big, important job to do!)

There is nothing absolutely wrong with these pads. The only thing id that they are very much larger than. I expected and they do not have a sticky side. As a result they tend to move about a bit.

The maxi pads are insanely absorbant! Highly recommend! If you are using these for a relative with dementia like me, I’ve found a great technique which is putting this pad inside the pull up nappy, then you just need to change the pad until the nappy is soiled too. Really saves so much time and energy when you are battling someone with severe dementia to let you change them and when even trying to get them to lift their feet so you can put a new nappy on them is sometimes practically impossible! I don’t find that normal pants keep the pad in place well enough for someone with dementia. Obviously a person without dementia using these knows to adjust their pants so the pad is correctly positioned. Hope this advice helps someone out there struggling with the same issues!

The person who uses these pads has said they are comfy to wear and provide good absorbancy. You will need to wear a pair of pants or knickers over the past but once wearing these they should stay in place.
When these pads are delivered they come in a box and you can’t tell what is inside
