Purchased one as my period would arrive on my holiday…I can be heavy for a good few days and didn’t want to spoil my holiday. I’ve used to for four days, shocked at how good they are I still wear period pants but Harley focused. He at today and I tiny but when wiped but wore a light dress and would never usually!! Took a couple of goes to get in right position but now think I’ve. Racked it, my cervix seems to drop when heavy so had to take a little bit of the end….really happy and I don’t feel like I’m on my period haven’t had the confidence to try and swim but I am so happy with it πŸ™‚

Bought this to try and do my bit for sustainability however, its been amazing for changing how I manage my period!! This product is amazing once you’ve learnt how to get it to seal but it does take a little bit of getting used to which for me took a couple of days/tries. At the beginning its very scary & you think it’s going to be lost forever however just relaxing makes life so easy. It means you can go out, move, swim, dance, whatever you want, without fear and you can do that all day realistically without having to fill your bag with supplies and always be thinking of what time it is. Fantastic product. I’ve only used it one cycle so far and already think I’ve mastered it, however from my experience it can be a little messy & you just need to get used to the sight of blood and some on your hands etc. I wouldn’t go back to any other product now. Feels amazing – almost like you don’t even have your period.

Very impressed. I find to relax as much as possible all along the way at each point is key!

I use dove soap and rinse well. Also bought an electric steamer to sterilise.

Nobody mentioned where I was reading up anywhere!!! the pain/shock you get when taking it out!!!

Also was a bit uncomfortable the first day/night I almost gave up on it πŸ™ so glad I didn’t and gave it another days trial as day 2 was so much better! I found the more in it was the less pain/uncomfortable I got.

I’m in my 49s 1 Caesarian. I got the small. I could have got the mini. Not sure if I can keep on with the uncomfortable feeling when removing? Might have to change to a mini…. I’ve still give 5***** s as this has nothing to do with the product it is me πŸ™‚

    Brilliant thing to use.

I would definitely recommend but I would not recommend leaving it in for any longer than 24 hours!!! Another thing I didn’t read anywhere. As you would almost certainly be asking to get into trouble! Keep it clean and regularly aired to clean and you’ll be fine!

Love it !!! So much better than the old way we have been living for years!!! πŸ™‚

Nice material, feels good quality. Probably really good product for some who can figure out how to use properly. Also quite hard to get out, but again that might just be me.

If you’re new and find it tricky, persevere for a few days, it’s worth it!
The silicone is the perfect thickness (I’ve tried others that are too flimsy) and have stress free periods. I can fill the small cup in 3-4
hours when my flow is heavy, but don’t have leakages.
The only issue I’ve had a couple of times is the notches on the bit to pull it out with break off after 4 months or so and I’ve had to buy a new one. I’m wondering if anyone else found this?

I had always been squeamish about the idea of menstrual cups but anxiety about an overnight work event coupled with a super heavy flow led me to finally giving them a shot at 34 years old. I had been a pad user up until this point and as tampons don’t work for me due to a low cervix, I had wrong assumed that cups would be the same. I chose the larger size and it was an absolute game changer. There was definitely a learning curve, it took me several goes of inserting and removing to get there but I did. After I inserted it for the first time, I had some trouble and did the classic panic that I wouldn’t be able to get it out. The seal was strong and it took a few goes before I was fully comfortable reaching in to break it. As someone who has never given birth, I also found the final moments of removal a little painful but bearable. For me, the cup sat with the base just at the entrance to my vagina so with a gentle push from my pelvic floor, it brought it down enough for me to grip and I found I didnt need to use the stem at all. I worried about the cup spilling on removal but again, this was not an issue. Generally, the cup was comfortable. I did have painful cramps this cycle but it would be hard to size of the cup influenced this at all. I could feel the stem as the cup sat low for me so I would be tempted to trim the stem. Capacity wise, I have a heavy flow so I worried that the cup would overflow or leak but this didn’t happen. I changed the cup 4 times a day at my heaviest, on waking, at lunch, when I got home from work and before bed and it would be about half full. Overall, I would say that I wished I’d have made the change from pads to a cup earlier. It was infinitely more comfortable than using pads and was wonderful not to have to worry about flooding as I usually do due to my heavy flow. I did find that I had to wear some extra protection as there would be a little residual blood after each changing but I am now planning on buying some reusable pads to deal with this. The added bonus of knowing you’re not contributing to environmental damage is also wonderful. Happy first time user, very happy I gave it a go!
