I got the colour I wanted, and the dye is gentle on your hair, very easy to use and less mess than some red dyes, my only complaint is that I ordered a pack of three boxes and one of them came with the top already snapped off, as I dont know when it occurred I am unable to use it, I would be reluctant to order in bulk again

I am really thrilled with how this colour turned out. I have a fair few greys, which covered well. Colour beforehand was basically medium to light brown. It’s an even colour and tone throughout (no hot roots which I experienced with a lighter red shade) Yet to properly wash with shampoo, so will be interesting to see how long it lasts. Needed one and a half bottles as one not quite enough. My hair is pretty fine and not thick. Will definitely use again 🙂
Update after 4 weeks. I’ve been using the Live colour mask to stop the fade (picture of my hair in a bun taken 4 weeks after using the schwarzkopf dye). Still going strong, if not more intense than when I originally dyed it!

Been using this dye for the past year or so now as I just can’t afford the prices at the salon. Whilst I will still always prefer a salon colour job than a box dye, this one is such good value for the money. The colour is extremely vibrant. It does seem to wash out forever and ever but I’m not sure if that’s just something that comes hand in hand with a dark red dye. Great value for money though.

I have black hair with some grey and wanted to go red but nothing drastic so picked this colour. It is dark and my hair looks black but you can see the red when the light or sun hits the hair which is fine for me. If you are looking for a red which is more visible, this might not be the shade for you. Its really easy to apply, doesn’t drip. Formula is very thick so you have to shake the bottle quite vigorously to mix the contents. I have long hair so used 2 boxes. There is no nasty smell which is good. I used vaseline around my neck, hairline and ears which stopped any skin staining. Took 25 mins to rinse the dye out. I have washed my hair since dying it and it did not turn the water as red as I thought it would.
It’s only been 5 days since I first dyed my hair so unable to comment on how long it lasts. The downside is that my hair is very dry. I normally use Schwarzkopf Live cosmic blue which leaves my hair silky soft but this formula has done the opposite which is a shame. I had to use extra conditioner and then treat with argon oil afterwards. I love the colour but not the condition of my hair so unlikely to use again sadly. Shame the pack came in 3s as I now have a box spare!
