I bought the CROING menstrual cup 4months ago but was reluctant to make the transition from pads to cup due to fear of leakage. However, last month I decided to take a leap of faith with the cup.

INSERTION: Having never used a cup before, I must say it was a bit of work getting it in place but after about four attempts following the instructions on the box,I was beginning to get a hang of it. I found the ‘punch down’ technique to be the most efficient for me.

SIZING: The pack contains two large and two small cups with both calibrated at the 7.5ml and 15ml marks. The large cup however does have room for extra 10ml to reach full capacity, while the small has extra space for about 5ml to full capacity. I decided to use the large size because i thought my periods were heavy, but, 6 hours later on day1, the cup was only 7.5ml full.

LEAKPROOF: On the first trial, i wore a panty liner for extra protection and did have a little leakage, thus suggesting that the cup was not inserted properly. After few more trials, i had found the most effective way to insert cup to achieve full seal with no leaks.

COMFORT: I observed that if the cup is inserted too high up the cervix, it causes massive cramps. Infact, I could only bear the cramps for about 3minutes before taking it out and re-inserting properly, after which, I could barely notice it was in there.

REMOVAL: To take the cup out, I found that sitting on the toilet and bearing down slowly while pinching the bottom of the cup makes it easy to break the suction seal, then the cup can be pulled out easily.

CLEANING: After emptying cup, it is best to rinse properly with cold water first before using hot water else the cup discolours quickly and also retains smell of blood for longer.

From my experience, this brand is of excellent quality, does the job and is fairly easy to use.
Using a menstrual cup might seem daunting at first, but, it does get easier and more comfortable on subsequent trials. I’m really pleased with my experience and will continue to use the menstrual cup.

I am a first time user and now thinking where i have been all these years without even knowing that such thing like the menstrual cup exists πŸ™‚ I had no issues with inserting and comfort of wearing this menstrual cup. Product is good in general. Easy to use and clean, no leaks when inserted correctly and perfect for a light/average flow as you don’t have to change it for 12hrs. You dont even feel that you wear it until its time to get it out. Now here comes the issue… As the cup migrates up, molds to the shape of your body and the seal is pretty good, it is a nightmare to get it out if you have a high cervix. I personally think that the stem is too short hence you will have to spend quite a lot of time trying to grip the stem and gently coax it down to reach the base of the cup, pinch it to break the seal and get the cup out.

I defo recommend this cup to all girls with low/medium cervix but if you are like me with a very high cervix, go for a different cup with a longer stem or longer shape to avoid the panic and time spent trying to get it out .

I honestly do not know how I have survived my periods without this product for so many years! Okay I am a heavy bleeder, when I say heavy I mean abnormal. So this has been a game changer for me. First try I used the small one for obvious reasons that I wasn’t sure if it will be comfortable. It was messy first to find way to pull it out and put it in. After 3 tries I got it right.
Ever since I enjoy my time even when I am on my periods. I don’t worry about checking if I have messed up my skirt after sitting down
When it’s full you will feel it and you will know it’s time to empty it.
I empty mine 24 times during the course of 3 days that’s how heavy I bleed. I put a Pantyliner in case of some leaks. If you do not insert it the right way and it somehow doesn’t open when inserted then you will definitely leak.
First month I had terrible pains but now it went away. I would have gladly taken the pain killers than go back to pads honestly. This product has changed my life because before I would cancel all social activities when I’m on my periods and will feel so depressed and waking up almost every hour at night to change my pad was a nightmare

Was not sure about these at first as have always used a mooncup and they were a lot cheaper so a bit skeptical, but…. overall very pleased. Very comfortable, easy to use, takes slightly longer to unfold but think this is because they are a little less rigid than a moon cup. No leakage, easy to clean. Only con so far is that it is slightly trickier to remove due to being less rigid than the moon cup and also as its smooth its slightly harder to pinch to get hold of as there’s no ridges at the bottom so have to pinch a little harder which could potentially mean spillage if full I guess. I wore the larger cup on a medium flow day and did not have to change for 4.5 hours. Overall really impressed, may even be better than the moon cup, just hope it lasts as long as the moon cup has but only time will tell. Would give it 9/10

This is my first time using menstrual cups and all I can say is I don’t think I’ll ever go back to pads/tampons.

Once you get the hang of it they are easy to remove and insert.
I recommend practicing before you start your period.
I did cut off the stem though as it was uncomfortable for me but once the stem was gone I couldn’t feel it at all.

    I highly recommend trying these
Especially if you struggle with tampons leaking/ going past your cervix or a heavy period.

Before buying cups check your cervix height.
    Happy menstruating πŸ™‚
