This is a nice colour I’ve tried of the colours and it’s not as nice as this one. A bit darker than I wanted but usually after a few washes it tones down a little too exactly what I want. Also covers my grey hairs and my brown hair. I thought I’d have to bleach again, but I think I can get away without bleaching the roots

After trying a number of semi permanent dyes on my partners lightened hair which didn’t take we thought we would try this one.
The colour took to his hair which was lightened to around level 8 or 9. I should have probably left it on for a little longer but didn’t want to ruin his hair after bleaching it so much.
Thankfully his hair didn’t fall out and is in very good condition after using a deep conditioning mask on afterwards.

I bought Smokey Grey and used on my naturally white hair and it’s turned it a bit blue. I was hoping for a nice steely grey. It’s easy to use and gives good coverage, but I’m hoping it will actually fade with a few washes.

My natural hair color is deep dark brown, close to black. A few months before I dyed my hair with this product I had dyed it blue black (I think). Because my hair is long and fairly thick, I bought two boxes. I dyed my hair twice with the same dye and left 6 weeks before the second dye. The color did take after the first time, but was darker than expected. My hair looked dark brown when I was indoors and dark purple under the sun. That’s why I dyed my hair a second time 6 weeks later. My hair now(see pic) looks closer to the color shown on the box. A lot brighter and more vibrant. It shows when I’m indoors and even more obvious when I am out. Although it does look bit reddish, which doesn’t bother me whatsoever. I just wish I could have done a better job because on the picture the color looks a bit patchy…
The whole kit was fairly easy to use. Except for the gloves. I really struggle to put my hands in them easily or comfortably! They are too small! My hands may be a medium size but definitely not a large.
Smell… is a big minus! It was one of the worst I have had, having tried a number of hair dye products. Extremely harsh smell. Even when I had the window open, it was pretty strong still! I only wish it would have been practical to put on a mask lol
The conditioner that comes with the kit is the best conditioner I have EVER used! It’s like magic! My hair was an extremely dry and entangled mess after I washed the dye out. However, after applying only a peasized amount of their conditioner my hair was tamed, soft, smooth and sleek instantly! One tube lasted me three weeks and I used it every time I washed my hair. I will now be looking to see where I can buy just this conditioner!!
Overall, above average hair dye for me. Fairly happy. Will try again.

It went on easily, I have very short hair and wasn’t sure what it would turn out like, I have light grey to white hair. The colour went on bright mauve and rinsed out to light mauve, which is very nice but not what I expected. However as it dried it became more silvery grey with a mauve touch.

Easier to mix than most box dyes, as the colourant comes as a liquid in a bottle that you just pour into the developer rather than having to squeeze a tube in. Covers hair very well on application too. Smell is a little stronger than some other dyes, but it’s not that unpleasant imo. Gives great coverage, colour looks just like the box, and the best part for me is that it doesn’t stain my skin at all – which is impressive for such a dark shade.
